Within the hour, the police teleported me through time and space to the special safe place, which was located in a remote and highly secure region that nobody knew about.  The out of control lava flooding had not been able to penetrate the area, and the air conditions were at a reasonable temperature for people to be outside in.  The police van pulled up in the car park, and I was let out of the back.
Once I stepped out, I was then told...

"You can take off the safety suit now mate."

So I did.  And I was so glad to have been able get it off as well, because it was so uncomfortable.  The officers and firemen took theirs off as well.  Once we were all out of them, the police led me inside the safety campus, and directly into the main reception.  I was taken to the receptionist, and booked in.

"What's your name?"  The receptionist asked me.

"Christian England."

"How old are you?"

"24."

"Where do you come from?"

"London, England."

"Ah, a British survivor!  I had serious doubts if there were any."

"How do you mean?  Am I the only one one so far?"

"At the moment, yes.  But I'm hoping that there will be more of them soon."

"Let's keep hoping."

"OK Christian, We'll get you documented in due time.  but for now, why don't you go and mingle with some of the other survivors.  Some of our scientists will attend to you when they're ready."

"Thank you."

I was taken straight into the lounge area to meet up with two other people.  So far they were the only two other survivors that had been found by the police.  Their names were Riley, and Roger.  Riley had short dark blonde hair and blue eyes, and wore an aqua blue t-shirt, plaid blue shorts, and blue converse boots.  Roger on the other hand had medium-length dark brown hair and brown eyes, and wore a purple buttoned shirt, black jeans, and a pair of black converse boots.  Both of these boys were from the USA.  I walked up to the two of them and greeted them.

"Hello boys."

"Hello."  They answered together.

"So are you the only other survivors of this disaster?"

"At the moment, yes."  Roger answered.  "We can only hope that there are more."

"So what are your names then?"  I asked them.

"I'm Roger."

"And I'm Riley."

"Pleasure, I'm Christian."

"So where do you come from Christian.  I'm originally from Peterborough, but I recently moved to London prior to the disaster."

"Wow.  How I would really have loved to go to London one day."

"It's a really nice city Riley.  Before the lava disaster or course."

"Yes.  I wonder what on earth has caused this to happen?"

"Goodness only knows."

The three of us sat down on a nearby sofa together.  And we continued conversing.

"So do either of you know why we are here?"

"Neither of us know Christian."  Roger answered.  "Do you know?"

"Not yet.  But I so hope that we do find out."

We didn't have to wait long.  From another door at the other end of the room, an elderly man in a white lab coat came into the room to greet us.

"Good day to the three of you."  He greeted.

"Good day sir."  We all answered together.

"As you all know, you three are survivors of this disastrous lava flood that has captured over three quarters of the surface of the earth.  And if you help us with horrible crime of armageddon, we will help you.  Do you all understand?"

I looked at Roger and Riley, who both nodded in agreement.  Then I turned back to look at the professor.

"Yes, we agree."

"Excellent.  Here's how it's going to work.  We have discovered that somewhere in the world, there is a machine run by a mad scientist who is attempting to flood the whole world with this lava, and takes the lives of everyone that he possibly can.  In order to stop this deranged world dominator, you three will have to go out there into the lava filled environment, find him, and put a stop to his plans."

Roger raised his hand.

"How are we supposed to stop this man and enter a world where the air quality can melt our skin layers off?"

"That's the important part young man.  We will need to transform the three of you into fire pokémon, so that you can all withstand the heat of both the lava and the air.  Here's how we will decide who will become who."

The professor turned, as a female assistant brought over some fortune cookies on a tray.

"Each of these fortune cookies contains the name of different fire pokémon, I'd like you all to each pick one and crack it open.  You will then see which pokemon you will each be turned into."

The scientist held down the tray to each of us one by one.  First to Roger, then to Riley, and finally to me.  We each took one cookie and crushed it open.

"I've got Charmeleon."  Roger answered.

"Wow, I'm going to be made into a Flareon."  Riley said.

I myself couldn't help but admire the choice that I had been given.  The professor looked at me.

"And which one do you have?"  He asked me.

"Blaziken."

"I see that all of your fates have been sealed.  We shall begin procedures immediately, so please follow us."

The three of us stood up, and we followed the professor and his assistant through the door at the other end of the room.
